CLAT (COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST-Common Law Admission Test) is an entrance examination conducted for admission to the study of law.

To give CLAT exam, you should have 45% marks in 12th class. If someone comes from SC category, then he can give this exam with 40% marks.

There is no age limit for studying law

CLAT exam takes 2 hours and 200 questions are asked in which there is negative marking of ¼ i.e. for 4 wrong questions your 1 mark is deducted. The questions coming in it are from the following subjects which include legal aptitude, English, gk, current affairs, math, logical reasoning

 

ENROLLMENT

After completing LL.B or BA LL.B, you have to get your enrollment / name registered in your state bar. After the name is registered, you are issued a provisional certificate & ID card by which you are called an advocate and in which You can practice law for 2 years. During this time, it is mandatory for you to clear the AIBE (All India Bar Examination) exam. After clearing the exam, you are issued a permanent ID so that you can By becoming a permanent advocate, you become free to enroll yourself and practice law in any state across India.
